Studio 75 is the second artist run space headed by Luna Nera: the first being Loophole in Berlin (organised by Julian Ronnefeldt). Loophole is  former brothel in Neukolln; Studio 75 is a ground floor flat in a  council estate in Hackney.

Later in the year will be the London Luna Nera retrospective at studio 75, where you’ll see films and photos by and of Luna Nera.

He has worked at galleries and museums of contemporary art in Helsinki (Kiasma) and Barcelona (MACBA)and is currently pursuing a MA in Curating at Aalto University in Helsinki. He is a founding member of Namastic Art Collective, and a firm believer in the transformative power of art.

Each work in a capital city that has a different artistic culture and population mix, a different attitude to the economic structures that support it, and a different way of living in the northern climate. Luna Nera aims to stimulate interest in the environmental and architectural heritage of localities. By asking the audience to re-look at sites in a new way, Luna Nera is concerned with exploring the conjunction of theory and practice in site-specific/site-responsive work, and invites dialogue between artists. Luna Nera presents their moving-image work, alongside selected works by artists based in London and Berlin.

Gillian McIver studied history and philosophy before starting out as a documentary film maker. Moving from Canada to London, she began to work with experimental and site specific film. She co-founded the Luna Nera group, where she has been artist and curator since 1997.

Toni Ledentsa is an independent curator and producer currently based in Helsinki. He has worked at galleries and museums of contemporary art in Helsinki (Kiasma) and Barcelona (MACBA) and taken part in art festivals around Europe. He is involved in a residency centre called Arcapacha in Colombia, and is currently pursuing a MA in Curating, Managing and Mediating Art at Aalto University in Helsinki. He is a founding member of Namastic Art Collective, and a firm believer in the transformative power of art.
